 FAQs

  • When you choose to Pay It Forward, you’re purchasing a BeRe Financial Literacy Workbook(s) as a gift for a recently released justice-involved individual. These gifts are personally distributed by the BeRe Stewardship team at Reentry and Resource Fairs, where we connect directly with participants who are rebuilding their lives after incarceration.

  • Gifts are distributed in person by BeRe Stewardship staff during Reentry and Resource Fairs across Ohio and neighboring regions. These events bring together community partners, employers, and service providers who support individuals transitioning back into their communities. Each gifted workbook is handed directly to a participant at one of these fairs.

  • Recipients are justice-involved individuals who have recently been released and are actively engaging with reentry services. Each participant receives a BeRe Financial Literacy Workbook to support their financial decision-making, budgeting, and long-term stability as they navigate a fresh start.

  • At this time, gifts are distributed based on need and BeRe Stewardship’s participation in Reentry and Resource Fairs. If you’d like to support a specific organization or individual, we encourage you to shop directly through The BeRe Store and ship your purchase to the address of your chosen recipient. This allows you to personally direct your gift while still supporting our mission to expand access to justice-informed financial literacy education.

  • Because BeRe Stewardship is a for-profit social enterprise, Pay It Forward purchases are not tax-deductible. However, your purchase directly funds the delivery of financial literacy materials and helps sustain BeRe’s ongoing reentry education efforts. Every gift contributes to creating greater access and opportunity through financial stewardship.

  • We share regular updates, stories, and photos (when permitted) from the Reentry and Resource Fairs where your gifts are distributed. Follow BeRe Stewardship on social media or subscribe to our newsletter to see the impact!

  • We believe that justice-informed financial literacy education deserves sustainable, high-quality solutions. Operating as a for-profit social enterprise allows BeRe to reinvest revenue into curriculum development, program delivery, and outreach, ensuring that our impact continues to grow alongside our business.
